Flipping the classroom

The flipped classroom has been put forward by some as a possible way of integrating digital technologies and pedagogy i.e. a change away from more teacher-directed use of technologies which simply includes technologies into old pedagogies. The models presented below look pretty teacher-directed though – lecture model but viewed out of the classroom and then discussed in the classroom – more richly discussed by all accounts.

What are the implications of this for Language and Literacy classes?
